The weather folks issued a thunderstorm warning for the counties south of me.  ds had asked me to go down to the lake and check on his boat, so I thought I should quickly do that before the storms headed up here.  By the time I drove the three miles to the lake they had already enlarged the warning to include our county.  By the time I walked down to the lake it was already sprinkling and by the time I got back up and into the cabin to water the plants, it was pouring.  I made it back home through another bout of torrential rains and blinding lightening.  There is suppose to be wind and hail in the storms but thankfully I haven't seen that yet.  After all the rain over the past five days (seven inches) the ground is so saturated that anything that is falling now just sits on top of the ground.  One place I drove on the way to the lake I had to slow down to a crawl because the waters had brought rocks from the sides of the side road down the hill and onto the main road.  Some fields and lawns look like lakes and I saw some driveways that are almost under water.  I've never seen anything like this before.

Kaci I am sure glad that your alright, I was watching the storm and flooding in Indiana and that is just terrible. Hope your day is a good dry one, we are having a drought and Gov Swartsinegger has declared us a state of emergency, we are losing the almonds and the avacodo's. Hope you have a better day today, hugs

Well, we sure needed the rain but, this is pretty rediculous.
