I'm sending some magic dust to all you gals in the path of these horrible storms. I think You've had enough. We here in NJ are dealing with horrible heat - we were 96 yesterday, and today and tomorrow will be the same. I went to the pool yesterday - while in the water it was pleasant - but sitting on the edge was impossible. I got too much sun - have just started on my new chemo - and I think the reaction to the strong sun caused a rash all over my face, neck and chest. I usually can take lots of sun - never burn - but I got too much yesterday. Today we are staying in - and I hope this rash will fade - not stay with me as a result of the meds. And - we just heard that a man died this morning on our tennis courts - DH usually plays on Sunday mornings - but didn't today - thank goodness. One of his buddies collapsed and died on the court.
Now, DH is getting ready to attend a commencement exercise - outdoors - at the private school where he is board member. I'm worried about him in his robe, etc. sitting out in that heat. He'll have water with him - hope that helps.
Betty - I second the lecture Bea gave you! We can't afford to take chances - and better get sent home with nothing serious, than to not get help when you need it. Get thee to the doctor - tomorrow!!
I'm sort of tired of being lazy today - but guess I'll keep on doing as little as possible. I think my friend is coming over to visit later this afternoon - so that will be nice. Keep cool - dry - and away from the dangerous weather.
Rosemary

Thanks Rosemary. It's been hot and humid here as well as all the rain and wind. I feel like I'm in the tropics. I have to walk outside early AND quickly before the next rain comes.
Sorry about your rash and your dh's friend. That's the problem in living in a senior community. There are often ambulance calls
