havent posted in a while except to other posts. nothing really going on too exciting in my life outside of my grandkids and my garden. its so nice to see everything green and growing again, after that long snowy winter, but sadly too,it has been replaced by some really bad storms here! rich and i have been pretty lucky, as is brother bob, next door to us. with all the rain we have been getting, our basements have little water in them. my son tonite,is pulling out his carpeting in his basement,as it is totally waterlogged.as i drove around today, there are many homes with lots of damaged property strewn into their front yards, many roads were also closed to traffic and passable only with boats. on saturday there were over 3000 lightening strikes in milwaukee alone,20,000 in all of the southeast section of wisconsin. as i was looking out the back window,i could hear the weatherman,on my small tv,warning milwaukee residents to get into the basement and do not look out the windows..well who listens to weathermen.@@ i couldnt believe the formation of the clouds..a large lacy mass of black blew over us and it was being fed by small twirling clouds beneath it..thankfully were so close to the lake that it drew it in! but not so lucky were the east side residents rite across the bridge from us. they did have lots of damage to homes there as trees were totally uprooted and thrown onto houses and into the streets! we also heard on the news today that up at the wisconsin dells, which is a great resort town,2 hours away from us,and we and many people from all over went and enjoyed lake delton mirror lake and the wisconsin river, well lake delton is no more..it overflowed into the wisconsin river, taking with it,many expensive homes. what a site to see. there is no more lake delton,it is 90 percent gone! im sorry to hear too that you gals out east are suffering with the heat. its only june and im afraid to see what july and august have to offer us! other then that you will find me in my garden, talking to the chipmunks squirrels and oh yes,i have a little morning dove that has taken up residence in my backyard. my day is filled with talking to the animals..LOL...hugs mindy

Helloooooooooo Mindy.
hell-oooooooooooooooooo karen!! glad that you and your family stayed safe and dry during those storms..yesterday was a pretty descent day here...misting and drizzles here and there..it did rain all nite here and into this mroning..the sun is out rite now if which im thankful for..i almost forgot what it looked like
lake delton is a man made lake, karen, and i heard that our governor wants the water back..good luck with that..i was watching good morning america and they had the owners of the houses that were swept away on. pretty sad they lost everything, hopefully they had flood insurance, things can be replaced, not people,so its good to see that no one was hurt.
im wondering how my hair dresser is fairing..they take a cottage along the lake every june. im sure this was her week...i shall hear all about it when i go in next week!!
hey see you thursday..cant wait...will be a fun day...hugs mindy
Have a good Tuesday talking with your animals.
Carol
The lake drew in those clouds & sent them to us, Mindy!
I saw one woman who lost her house being interviewed.
You answered my questions as to how you were doing. Heat is nothing compared to what you all have had to deal with. I had believed that being so close to the lake that it would take most of the water for you. So many people have lost so very much. Thank God you are doing well in all the mess.
It's kinda scary how the weather has been acting. I just pray it calms down. All over the world!!
Now we'll have all the politics to contend with. Wish I could feel good about something in that department.
Mindy- stay well- martha
Hi Mindy, and I've also had a tough time posting, and finally here and it's taking time as usual but will try to continue on with a few posts.
