Good Morning Ladies,

I don't know where yesterday went or for that matter where this week went. The days are simply flying by this summer. I can barely believe that June is almost gone now too. I had lots to do yesterday. Wasn't expecting to have the following happen to me.

First let me say we have a large front porch and part of it is screened in. Well I went out the door to the screened in area and then opened the door to the open porch and took one step out and immediately stepped on something. I looked down and it was a snake. Large garter variety. YIKES. I am terrified of snakes and I  jumped back onto the screened in porch and before I could shut the screen door, said snake had gone onto that porch. LORDY  BE ..I flew inside the house and was trembling. I did manage to get out long enough through our front door and propped the screen door open. Now when DH got home the snake was no where to be seen. I can't go on that porch again for a few days...LOLOL

Have a great day and exercise your face by SMILING often.

I'm right there with you on the snakes, Becky. I was once cat sitting at a friend's house for a week. She had an old big brick house with brick stairs and brick front porch. One morning I started towards the stairs and they were MOVING! It was dozens of garter snakes slithering around. I could see the cracks between stairs and they must have nested underneath and come out for some sun. Good thing she gave me a side door key or those cats would have starved. It's weird, but I felt like I wanted to go home and take a good shower.

Becky I hate snakes I won't even look them on tv or in books, I washed and dried a rattlesnake one time. I was doing my dd's diapers and was the perfect little mother that layed all the whites on sheets and then take them and put then in the washer and then the dryer. I took pam with me 2 houses down to a baby shower and you could hear the washer buzz that far, so Arlene said to leave pam with them and go put the diapers in the dryer. I took them out and was folding the diapers up on the bed and there layed a dead rattlesnake I had washed and dried, I screemed bloody murder and Vern almost broke his foot getting down the hall LOL.

I don't care if its a damn garter snake they won't get me to look touch, i would not of been any help ROTFLOL if I had been there. Becky stay in the house

WHeeeeee(hugs)))))))))))

Jacquie,

OH my goodness, and I thought 1 snake was bad enough. Sidedoor key or not someone else would have needed to be recruited to feed the cats.

Betty that is a horrific story. I feel just as you do about snakes. When I got my reptile book out to check on the species I couldn't even let my hand touch a picture of the snakes..Makes my skin crawl.

Thank God that rattlesnake was dead by the time you saw him.
