Do you miss the gravy on some of your meat dishes? Try a can of beans or bean soup pureed in your BLENDER! Think black bean with jerk spices for pork, white bean with curry spices for chicken, vegetable soup for beef, clam chowder on fish fillets. So easy, no flour to blend in and constant stirring. Perfect for a lazy cook - like me.

Thanks Jacquie--I will have to give this a try. Do you use low sodium soups?

Those sound really good especially if I use my penzey spices. Anything to cut down the work in this heat.

It's hard to find a low sodium bean soup, but some of the more expensive ones have less sodium. Compared to the packages of gravy I used to buy, the soups have less sodium. BTW - adding a little sherry to the sauce really picks up the flavor. Hear that Betty?
