Almost the end of June~~~~~~~

Hi Everybody,

I just finished a 4 page typed letter to my Godson and his wife in Colorado, and it was difficult in a way that I didn't want to elaborate on the loss of their baby but yet didn't want them to think that we weren't sad over it either.  It was such a terrible blow to them, and they are both 39, so you know how they feel all about that also.  So we are running--no, not really running--we will take the car to the post office to get that in the mail.

Claire has been over quite often, we have her almost every Thursday night for pizza and she enjoys that and we have stopped in when we had Sara here and she was so happy to meet her.  Sara and one of her DGD's look very much alike.

We also saw Mike, Joanie and family, had lots to catch up on but it was all fun and we saw both our DGD's up there also.  They are going away next weekend because Laura, the youngest, has made state finals in track so they will be gone for the weekend because it's in the western part of our state.

DH is still limping around with the toe hurting, and finally cut a hole in his shoe so that he could wear an old pair when he has to have something on his feet.  He has taped the toe and goes without shoes in the house.  No, of course not, don't even ask if he applied ice or saw the Dr.  He is his own dr. and I've finally given up and just get a little numb about the whole thing and hope that it heals correctly.

We both had eye exams at the opthamologists, and his eyes are remaining the same and mine are supposedly getting better.  So, we didn't buy any glasses or contacts and doc said he would see us in two years unless we have a problem.

I have finally given an answer to our friends 50th anniversary celebration, DH called and asked about the smoking situation and they said that the party we would be going to is in the main ballroom and that the smoking patio is right outside the french doors to that room and many times they even leave the doors open.  Well, I guess they thought he was a smoker, but with his problem we stopped by to see the couple a couple of weeks ago after he learned about the smoking patio and open doors, and told them that we would be unable to go.

We are also missing one of my cousins son's graduation because it is this weekend and of course we are going to David's, and we are missing a wedding in October because it is the same week that we will be seeing Steve and family as he will be turning 50.  Well, at least I know that my family doesn't smoke so we're pretty safe there.

I don't know if my Godson and wife are coming out for the anniversary party because it is his parents anniversary, and we will feel bad that we won't be able to see them.  They will undoubtedly fly out from Colorado and only spend a few days as they both have jobs to think about and get back to.

If I get a chance, will try to do a little about Sara when we get back later on--to the post office first, and wishing you all a good day.  Hugs to all.

Bea I agree with you, but sometimes it nice if they know its ok to talk about the loss. Its a terrible thing to happen, my sis Clara lost her first little girl when she was 6 weeks old and that was a time when you put that behind you and get on with life.

Betty L. Keep and Angel on your Shoulder & a prayer in your heart.

Nothing harder than loss of a child. My God give them the strength to go on. It is something that will never leave them, but I pray they can accept and go on.
