is all about the Iditarod dog races in Alaska.Humm, can you guess why I find it so interesting? I've always liked what I would see on the news about the races and the dogs, but while in Alaska I was on a tour to the home of 4 time winner of the Iditarod Jeff King. He takes you to his home and lets all the people hold puppies. That's actually part of the training. Anyhow, he is such a good and entertaining speaker that while you are learning about the dogs and all the races he just makes time fly.

Anyhow, he wrote a book on his life 'Cold Hands Warm Heart' His wife did all the art work, she is SOOOOOO talented. If you have the slightest interest in this sport you will enjoy this book.I just wish i could see some of the races in person. Course I really don't enjoy cold, and these races are in the time of year that 35 below is about the norm.I got my copy at the library..

Enjoy the summer if you are lucky enough to be in a spot of the country that is having normal weather-- martha
