A quick rundown on our oldest DGD Sara, now 22 years old, she was here a little over a week ago.
- Sara came to visit us for a long weekend, she traveled with her friend Matt and it was her first trip to visit Grammy and Grampy on her own without her parents.
- Sara has graduated from her first 4 years of college and has changed her main career option in midstream so now has to take the courses that she missed out on. She started out to be a physical therapist and has decided after much conversation and going through hospitals and shadowing medical staff that she would like to become a physician's assistant.
- This change means that she has a few subjects that she didn't take the first 4 years, so on July 9th she will be taking a few courses at a college near her home in NY.
- She is back to living with mommy and daddy (Steve and Joy) and finding it difficult to be home again after 3 years of living in a dorm and the 4th year in a house she rented with some other girls.
- She is quite the young lady right now, and I have seen a big change in her since before she started college and learning how to live on her own.
- We took her up to see her Uncle Mike and Aunt Joanie and her cousins Lisa and Laura.
- This part of the family hasn't seen her for about 5 years, so of course everybody in the MA family of cousins noticed big changes in our NY Sara and vice versa.
- Sara walked in the door of her uncle's house and got goose bumps all over because when she saw Uncle Mike's youngest daughter she realized that they are almost cloned, that's how close they look alike.
- Sara, Matt, Grampy and I all went for a tour of the Sam Adams brewery in Boston, then spent the day out to dinner and riding through Boston, as Sara feels that her next college years she would like to be in a big city.
- We will be seeing Sara this weekend as we are going to NY to brother David's high school graduation. Sara has showed me how to do text messaging on the phone but I think she now realizes that I "just don't get it"!
We sure had a lot of fun and time went by too, too fast!

I agree..lots of good kids in the world
I used to tell my students "I know what's wrong with kids today: NOTHING!"
