Good morning to everyone, hope you are all doing well.
My foot doctor appt. didn't exactly go as I would have liked. When I got the first shot, yes it hurt, but nothing I couldn't handle. I did get another shot yesterday and after he froze my foot he eased the needle in and there was this major pain and I jerked and it startled the doctor I guess and though it worked the needle did go all the way through to the bottom of my foot. Owwwwwwwwwie that was not fun. He said it was OK and did work, but this will be the last shot I can have. He said he finds if it doesn't help after 2 shots it usually doesn't work at all. 1st one did help for 3 weeks and then started going downhill again. The decision I will have to make in a month is whether to have surgery or live with the pain. Well let me tell you if the pain comes back like it was when I first went in then I will opt for surgery. My sister had the same thing and she was very happy with the result when she had surgery. Time will tell and I will keep you updated.
Today should be fairly quite for me after I go get my hair cut. I will be mostly staying off my foot.
Have a great day and remember SMILING is always a good thing! Try it you'll like it. :-)

Hugs and Smiles

"Owwwwie" is right, Becky! Just hearing about that needle made me feel queasy.
My hair has grown so much since I've been here, but I hate to go to a hairdresser that I don't know & I don't want to drive 116 miles to see mine. Woe is me...such problems;-)
I hope your foot feels better this afternoon! I'm smilin'! Cal
Oh Becky, what a terrible thing to have to go through.
Becky:
Are you being treated for a Morton's Neuroma in your foot?
I was just reading about your comment on Morton's Neuroma, and I don't recall Becky saying a name for her problem.
Bea:
I am very glad to hear that your DH did not have to have surgery for his Mortons Neuroma.
OMG Lou, that is absolutely terrible.
Bea:
Sorry to be so long in replying, DH and I just returned from Canada.
Yes Lou, I am being treated for a Morton's Neuroma and this last shot is not helping at all. I have pretty much resigned myself that I will have to have surgery on it. I have talked to a few people that have had the surgery including one of my sisters and they all tell me that it is a relatively simple surgery. The surgeon goes through the top of the foot to correct it. Hopefully you don't have to be off your foot for long as I can't stand being idle for long periods of time...LOL
Hi Becky:
It is interesting that your surgeon removes the damage nerve through the top.
