Hello

I'll just pop in here for a minute - can't type very well since I'm wearing latex gloves - my finger tips are so sore and cracked from the chemo I can't stand to touch things - the gloves really help - but typing is hard. I've been on the phone all morning - one friend is going away to Vancouver for 4 weeks - another is making her DD;s wedding dress and called for moral support. She has horrible arthritis in her hands - and my fingers are hopeless - so neither of us is up to the task. She is determined to get it made - very difficult using sheer silk, etc. I'd think her daughter (33) should have bought a dress - knowing how difficult it is for her mom. This is a lady who had done re-upholstery and all kinds of needlework, gardening, cooking, etc. - so sad. I've left messages with two other friends who weren't home - DH is going to a dinner meeting tonight and I would love to go out with someone. Maybe they will call back.

The sad news is that one of my "boy friends" in my support group died on Sunday night. I hadn't heard from his wife for 2 weeks - so I knew he was not doing well. He was only diagnosed in March - with advanced lung cancer. It really makes me face the realities of this disease - not easy to do.

So - now I need to vacuum the upstairs and make up the beds for DD and family who will be arriving on Monday. We will be in MO. for our 50th reunion and coming home on Monday - so it will be a bit hectic but fun. We leave on Friday morning and will spend 2 nights with my sister and family in KC - one night in our home town about 3 hours from there. Hope I'm up to all this socializing - should be fun

Be good - I'll be scarce on here for the whole month of August - will be at the shore house the last three weeks of the month - be good - and I'll catch up with you later,
Rosemary

Rosemary, so sorry about your friend and the problems with your hands. I hope the family reunion and the time at the beach can help you forget all that.

Love and hugs,

Darby

Hi, Rosemary!
I wish I lived closer so I could go out for dinner with you. Hope one of your friends calls & that you have a nice evening.

Your August sounds hectic, but fun...especially at the beach with your DGSs. Hope you get some time to just sit, listen to & stare at the water.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend in the support group...so sad.

Enjoy the reunion...is it family or high school?

Hugs, Cal

It's our 50th high school reunion - DH and I graduated in the same class - so we know all the same people. It's a small town - will be nice to see old friends. Rosemary
