Here's a 10, quick catchup!

Things happen so fast and so often that I forget half of what we have been doing, but we sure have been busy.   So here goes:

  1. Monday, our usual day for going home and doing all the errands and we did that plus saw our friends for a morning cup of coffee before coming back to the lake.

  2. No sooner stepped in the door and the phone rang and it was Claire wondering if she could come over with her granddaughter and her gr-grandson.  Of course, so there we sat with all my unpacking and putting away waiting while we played with baby on the deck--I do have to say that it was fun as babies are always fun.

  3. The past 3 Mondays have been taking care of the car also--first the sticker one Monday and next Monday we got new tires and the service men broke the wheel cover and we had to wait for a new wheel cover after many telephone calls and they come up with their junky "after market" wheel cover.  We will never go back to that company again.  And then DH changed the oil on the car to finish off general maintenance for awhile.

  4. Good news yesterday because we gassed up the car and it was "ONLY" $3.61 a gallon and we have started using a charge card only because we get 5% back also.  Hope it continues in the downward trend.

  5. DH's birthday was the 2nd of the month, and we went out to eat for his birthday the day before instead of our usual waiting until we felt like it.  When I mentioned it to him the day before he said "let's go out today".  Goodie, I'm all for not cooking at this point in time anyway.

  6. On his actual birthday I cooked him one of his favorite meals, so he was a happy camper!

  7. Yesterday we went to north of Boston and met friends of ours at a very popular Hilltop Steak House in this area, and I was shocked when I saw her as she is normally very thin, but she is pencil thin now since her colonoscopy surgery.  She can't eat many things as her body won't tolerate it, and we had fun but I am really worried about her.  Her dr. found the polyp 2 years ago and told her to come back for another colonoscopy in two years and had found that it had turned to cancer.  What in heaven's name was this dr. thinking of?

  8. First year for a long time that we didn't plant tomatoes, so no garden at all.  Monday we were given two fresh cucumbers from our neighbor's garden, yum.  Yesterday our friends gave us 2 fresh cucumbers from their garden, yum yum.  Guess it's a good year for cucumbers.

  9. Yesterday was our youngest DGD Lydia's 14th birthday.  I hope she had a good day--she just finished dancing lessons at the new school that she will be going to in the fall.

  10. Last but not least, this is Thursday and it's pizza day.  I just patted out the dough, and it's "come one, come all".  The more the merrier and the smaller a piece each gets, but who cares.  It's just fun being together.

Guess that's it for now, at least I finally got on to the board without any trouble.  We have had storms on the east coast and when that happens I find my ISP just won't get on no matter what.  Everybody, have a good day, hugs to all.

Swan family!

It's great to be so active. Makes time fly, and is good for body and soul. martha
