Sleep bargain

DH snores, I have acid reflux, MD suggested a mechanical bed to raise the top - just a pile of pillows wasn't working - way too expensive for us. I knew about wedge sleep pillows, but they were sold at specialty stores and websites for $80-$90 each. A chunk of $$ that might not even work. So, I searched on eBay, found a wholesale store who sold these - they even have zippered terry cloth covers - $28.50 EACH. We put them under the foam mattress so we got the benefit of the Swedish foam feel. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The strain in my back is gone - I was resorting to a pillow between the knees and it was on the floor 1/2 through the night. DH is breathing better. I wake up with way less aches & pains. Just had to share this with you gals.

Jacquie,

I think I had better look into that. I have so much pain at night and the pills I take for that don't always help

Putting the wedge under the mattress-- what a great idea. I used one after my operation and somehow couldn't get comfortable. I bet the way you do it would work.Mine was borrowed from my DD. If needed again I'll buy one and use it the way you do. At this time I have a block of wood under the legs at the headboard. not bad-- martha

If you want the website, send me email. Don't want to appear that I'm shilling for a company.

I have had one for ages, but also couldn't get comfortable. One of the problems is that it is 12" thick. I'd start out positioned just fine, then gradually slip down until my feet were hanging off the bed. The new wedges are 8" and just enough lift.

Dh has a C-pap machine too. It kind of lulls me to sleep wheras his snoring used to keep me up. Great invention!
