Good afternoon...

Hello,

It is afternoon here and I have been watching the US Open tennis tournament.

It has been one of those days where I was tired when I got up and I have a lot of pain in my muscles, particularly in my legs and this is not from over use. It is just what I have most of the time now. Some days good some bad. I take extra strength Tylenol regularly and this helps somewhat.

Oh goodness it seems all I do is complain anymore. Sorry!!!!

We have been having the strangest weather. It will be beautiful and sunny one minute and a little bit later it is thundering and raining. Last night we had the worst rain. It was thundering very loud and lightening terrible. It finally started raining and it was the hardest rain I have heard in a long time. It didn't last long, but it was intense. I called mother as soon as the storm was over and she said she was scared. I don't blame her, because I was too. I called her this morning to see how much rain it was and we had one tenth over an inch. That was a lot of rain for the short time it continued.

Well, if it wasn't already nearly 4 PM I would have a nap. Hope you all have had a good day and that your evening will be real nice too. Perhaps you each found time to SMILE today!

The weather here has been positively weird. On Thursday, an apartment bldg 2 miles South of us was evacuated because of roof leaks from a downpour. We barely had a sprinkle! I'd like a little rain, as the pollen is keeping me in a lot. I do plan on sewing more the DGrGrDs flower girl dresses for the Sept 27 wedding. I basted together the lining and took it out to try on the 5 yr old. Good thing - she is so tiny in the waist that I need to re-cut the bodice smaller. Of course, she just HAD to put on her "wedding" shoes and have her pix taken in the basted together dress. I took along all the silk flowers I've been collecting from garage sales so DGrD could decide what we needed. We picked all the button mums off their stems, as they matched the girls dresses perfectly. DGrGrD filled a basket with them and started practicing - dropping flowers all over the living room. Of course, the baby (11 mo) crawled like mad to grab and try to eat them! We were in stitches. DGrD and I had a nice visit - so nice to have a woman in the family that looks at the world the way I do. Her stepDM is still giving them grief about the non-traditional things they are doing for the wedding, but I told DGrD she is doing great. Latest find was at a local festival. Roses made from balsa wood shavings, then dyed. DGrD ordered enough for each woman to take one with after the ceremony. So much nicer than a lot of the junkie favors we saw at the hobby stores. We will put them in the 11 matching vases I picked up for $2 each.

Also trying to get the deck cleaned up for her bridal shower next Sat. Our maple tree drops a ton of seeds and if they sit overnight and get damp, they stain the deck. The decking is plastic/wood combo, so I can scrub it with bleach solution. Made a first pass today with an old deck mop and it looks a lot better.

Been aching a lot lately also. If it was later in the season, I'd blame in on cool weather. I find massive doses of ibuprofen are the only thing that relieves it.
