You may remember that my DGrD & I took a roadtrip to No.IL for my DSis to modify the design of her wedding gown (DSis does this professionally). We got home the next day and DGrD looked at the pix we took and decides that the top isn't LOW enough, looks too matronly. She is very big busted and wants to show it. Must be a generational thing - DSis and I thought covering some of it up was a good idea - LOL. The first visit here, she forgot her corset, so I couldn't do anything. 4 days later she shows up with corset, but no shoes. I lent her a pair of mine and handed her an eyebrow pencil and told her to mark on her CHEST where she wanted the dress to sit. Her big issue was that cleavage wasn't showing in the photos. I took 4 trimmings and photos each time to get it right. So, I've spent the last 2 days taking it apart and modifying. Believe me, I took a pix at the final top and made SURE she liked it. So far, so good. With any luck, I might actually get to make my outfit for the wedding - LOL. Today is busy - stop at the farmer's market on the way to soccer game for 6 yr old DGrD at noon, then 4 PM birthday for the 1 yr old DGrGrD - each location at opposite ends of the county. In between all this, DH and I have been out target shooting and enjoying the fantastic early Fall Midwest weather. One sportsman's club we belong to is a wooded area with a lake in the middle of cornfields. It was glorious to just to sit and gaze at the view. Only think I forgot was that the trees are black walnut and oaks, so I kept getting pelted with nuts and acorns. Good thing I wear a cap with a stiff beak so my face didnt' get hit.
At least I won't need to cook supper tonight - there's a cookout at the birthday party.
