I know the government had to step in and keep the whole economy from crashing, but I'm fuming at the people at the top who sucked big bucks out of those companies while things were going South. How sad that they don't have a job now to support their 3 mansions, airplanes, etc.! All of our children and grand-children will be paying dearly for these mistakes. Another "Nero" fiddling while Rome burned scenario??
I'm also disgusted with a BIL who has been named the CEO of a foreign company that makes equipment which competes with American made Caterpillar company. He gets a big salary for mostly letting them use his American status as a business ploy to move in and take more sales away. As you can guess, I'm not much of a fan of all the globalization of industry that took more away than we gained.
stepping down carefully now, lest I blow a cork

Betty L. Keep and Angel on your Shoulder & a prayer in your heart.
And considering who's investing more and more of their oil $$ into our businesses, I can picture the day when we are known as "The United States of Dubai". I hate that there were no strict rules about foreign ownership of US companies.
