DH and I went to see Eldersis this afternoon; she's looking good for a 77 yo lady who had a hip replacement yesterday. She said that she had to fight to get them to let her hair stay fixed. She had hunted all over for plastic pins (in case they had to shock her) to put it up. Her hair is long, but not as long as mine, so she had twisted it in a French roll, as she usually wears it, and hoped that it would stay after being sprayed with hair spray. Well, of course, it didn't stay with all of the being moved from gurney to surgery table and back again. I was able to comb it and plait a long braid, then fasten it to the top of her head today. We did meet her Dr., and hear his plans for her tomorrow. He said all of the tubes will come out, and that wonderful machine that she can punch a button for pain killer will be gone. She stood up today, and there will be a short walk after she's cut loose. I can't decide if it would be better to skip going to see her then. She might be quite worn out.
Thanks to all who have been thinking about us, and saying a little prayer.
Meet y'all at the sink!
