It Could Be Rough

The prediction for here today is a high of 39º and rainy. I fear that we might then see some of that white stuff flying around again. Brrrr. On top of that I have to go to work and am suffereing from low back pain. Yesterday I sat all day with a heating pad on my back. I'm going to try to make it today and if it's too hard I'll just come home and go to bed. I've found that the best is to lay flat on my back. We'll see how it goes.

Same weather in mid-Illinois. I need to get out the light blanket to cover the big Mandevilla vine on the front trellis. The pot's too big and heavy to take in, so I put a new one in each year and treat as an annual. It is now full of red blooms and I just know we'll have a light freeze, then come mid Nov temps will be back in 50s.
Sorry to hear your back is acting up. My continuing disk problems are making the scoliosis more prominent and pinching nerves. Finally taking heavy pain pills during the day so I can keep going. Luckily, the Darvocet doesn't make me sleepy - it actually drops my blood pressure when the pain is masked and I feel very energetic. Can't take it at night though. I get by with double dose of ibuprofen at night. I've now discovered that sleeping with my shoulders uncovered (as in my summer pjs) gives me a stiff neck and upper back in the morning. I wore a long sleeved T shirt last eve and slept very well.
Watch those slippery first flakes.
