Coming from the old sky this morning, its only because this guy that bought our spa is suppose to pick it up this morning and I want to paint the floor of the concrete LOL. We would have sun otherwise, oh well it was a good thought.
I hope your Halloween was a good one, we had no trick or treaters last night, the fear of walking the kids is just to great. We had a 14 yr old boy shot and killed over the weekend that was simply hanging out clothes for his mom. This was over in Cutler about 15 miles from us, its a spanish community and just hard working families.
I know that we now have a Mall party every Halloween and New Years to let the kids from little to 16 come with their parents. No rough housing, just music and treaters from store to store. Vern bought the good stuff of course and now he and Joyce will have some sweets.
We did go to the Casino to celebrate that this big leison on my thigh is not skin cancer, it apparently is dermatitis. This dr. lives in Seattle and comes once a month to work at the clinic here. He thinks he is Pams dermatologist and was the one that removed her melenoma 10 yrs ago. So I must ask her what her dr's name is.
We are going to do much of nothing today, just wait for this fella to call and let us know. Hope that you all have a great day and that the weather is good where ever you may hang your hat or your undies LOL.
I am going to go and make breakfast and drink some good coffee, Tullys to be exact, yummmmmmmmmmmo. hugs
Betty L. Keep and Angel on your Shoulder & a prayer in your heart.

Today is another great fall day in mid-Illinois. I went to the farmer's market to stock the freezer with sweet peppers. When the hard freeze is expected, they start selling them cheap - .25 instead .50 last week. I wash them, remove the core and seeds, then cut in halves to go in freezer bags. I double bag these, because the flavor tends to get into everything else. Also bought a pie pumpkin for holiday baking. After that I stopped by the library to pick up some books I had on order. One is on the Lincoln Highway that runs across the country. I have an itch to get in the car and drive to see what I've missed. My family traveled North and South, DH's went East & West, so he has no interest in going with me. Need to find another old gal to travel with.
Having Chinese leftovers for lunch, then going for a long walk with my Nordic walking poles in the local prairie preserve. Just can't let these days go by. DH will bring along his electric model airplane and fly in the meadow there. Supper will probably be the last burgers on the grill for the season, 'cause daylight savings changes overnight and I'm not big on cooking in the cold and dark. Bummer - seems like we just bought the new smoker/grill.
This is the first weekend of doing laundry with the new washer and it sure is a marvel. I put in on extra spin and the drying time was cut in half.
take care,
Jacquie
