*** I VOTED! ***

And it only took 20 minutes to walk to the polls, sign in, vote & walk back home!  There was a steady stream of people, but it was going quickly & smoothly.  Everyone seemed to know who & what they wanted to vote for.  I can't wait for the results.

Other than that I don't have much planned for today.  Youngest DS asked me to start walking with him.  He's laid-off, knows I'm dieting & wants to be supportive.  We'll see...

Hope you're all having a pleasant day!  Please vote.   Cal

DH went to vote at 6:30 AM and found really "seniors" in line for a block! Seems they get up early anyway, go vote, then go out to breakfast in the van provided by the city bus. So, he came back and we stayed put until the new fridge got delivered just before lunch. Now, he's trying again, plus picking up groceries. When he reports back on the voting traffic, I'll decide if I'm going or not. I've voted every election for 50 years, but am so uninspired this time that I may take a pass. I feel like we're all going to pay for the excesses of the past and whoever is in the big house won't be able to undo a thing. Being an independent voter, the problem is I agree with some positions on BOTH sides. I think this last 8 days of replacing 2 appliances and $400 worth of dental work is making me cranky - LOL.

Hi Cal,

Glad you got to vote, and it sounds nice that your DS asked to walk with you, special time together and a time to chat and walk at the same time.
