...worrying about our children.  I know I've mentioned that the 44 & 47 yr. olds have recently become unemployed with no jobs to be had in Michigan.  For every opening there are sooooo many applicants!  My son is becoming very depressed about not having any prospects.  They're very fortunate, because at this point money isn't a worry for them, but how long will unemployment last?  I'm really depending on Obama, but know whatever happens will take time.

Thanks for listening.   Cal

Hi Cal--I am so sorry to hear that your worry is affecting your sleep--that is a bummer!! I was watching Good Morning America this morning and they interviewed a woman from a small town in Georgia who lost her job last Spring--she was desperate. A GMA regular Tory -- can't remember her last name advised this gal to check out some web site on the internet who hire -- actually act as a liaison for free-lance workers with companies who farm out work. She is now working for Microsoft and can work from home. She also did a lot of art work as a hobby and started selling it over the internet and is loving her new lifestyle. I am sure if you go to the GMA website you can find the name of the web pages for the free lance stuff. This woman had been a receptionist at a park/reserve. I hope this leads to some beneficial info. and I hope you get some good sleep tonight.
Hugs,
Carol

That is the truth, Cal :-) This morning on GMA they announced that Tory Johnson is conducting a Job Fair in Chicago this weekend--that info should be on the GMA site as well. I wish your DSs the best of luck. It makes me furious when i read about the salaries the CEOs of companies are pulling down and they have the gall to say they can't afford to put money aside for employee pension plans, etc. and they must cut jobs. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! Okay, i will be quiet now.
I hope you have a good weekend Cal.
Hugs,
Carol

I get so frustrated thinking of who to "blame" for this mess...the greedy executives, the unions that got outrageous wages & benefits for the car workers...so much so that
