We had a great Thanksgiving, Dr. Ted did all the cooking and stuffed the bird, and this is only our 2nd year in all the years that we have had the lake house that we had Thanksgiving here.  We passed up on an invitation to go to a restaurant, we wanted leftovers, and boy, leftovers we have plenty of.  When we go home for our regular Monday I am bringing some up to the freezer up there as we just can't possibly eat it all.  Dr. Ted gave me a Turkey sandwich yesterday for lunch that filled me so much that I forfeited eating a regular supper even as late as 7 p.m. and just had apple pie and ice cream at his suggestion.  I noticed he settled for that also.

I did prepare one little thing for dinner.  I wanted fresh carrots and I convinced my Dr/Chef that each carrot didn't weigh 5 lbs, so I did peel and cut up about a dozen of them, and showed him how to cook them in the microwave.  Everything came out yummy and he really is so good at all this "household" stuff.  I am so thankfull.

We are due to get heavy rains this afternoon until about 7 a.m. tomorrow morning, and leaving at our usual 4 a.m. means that we will be traveling in it, so I'm hoping it will have slowed down before that time.  I have mammograms at 8 a.m. and have discovered that with all the Christmas shopping that I had done, I noticed that I had plenty for mostly everybody except my DIL Joy, so guess we will have to go out to a few stores sometime this week or next week.

DH's computer crashed and he ordered a new one, so hoping that it will be shipped here at the lake.  He gave them up to the 10th of December for shipping to the lake, after that the address will be changed to the city, so it seems we are staying here longer and longer.  Not my choice but I guess I can watch the squirrels, ducks and geese and birds around here a little longer.  Next Saturday is my Crazy 8 get together and I have mostly everything ready for that and I'm really looking forward to it more than ever.  Guess I have cabin fever.

A good day to everybody, hugs.

Hi Bea -- it sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving with your wonderful DH. I hope you both have a safe trip home and back.
Your dancing bears remind me of you and Ted :-)
Hugs,
