Just where does the time go? I am so far behind in what I usually have done at this time, usually my gifts are all wrapped and cards already send, but cards at least will be going out soon and I have managed to keep bills and everything all up to date and recorded. My problem is that I have been sitting on the computer more than usual, and I am now happy that all utilities are automatically taken out each month, also the charge card in total, as I didn't want to send it by computer or phone in case we lost those for some reason or other (weather, outage, etc.), which seems to happen occasionally.
Dr. Ted has discovered "The Doctors" which is a program of a panel of dr.s on for an hour in the morning and then they have the same repeat show on a different channel in the afternoon. It's quite interesting, and wow, no subject is left unturned. They bring out a lot of facts that people can do for themselves and get better treatment than going to the dr. for a simple matter and don't improve. I'm not saying I don't believe in dr.s, after what I just went through I believe in them wholly, but so many things these on the panel bring out which is nothing but common sense.
I am getting antsy to see my son's and families for Christmas. I'm sure that I'll be able to travel then without any problem, at least I can't forsee anything that would stop us, unless the weather is so darn bad.
I had a mammogram yesterday, and when I got in the room with the technician she explained the new digital mammogram machine to me, took the mammograms and then asked me if I would like to see them--all on the computer. Well, this is the first time I left without the radialogist checking them first, but he wasn't going to be there until today, so I wait. But it was quite a different test in the fact that they want to get the bone along the breast and the sternum bone on top of the breast, then squeeze, squeeze, squeeze--I thought those darn things were going to pop off. This is the first time a mammogram actually hurt me, but they say this is better and far more advanced than the other. Oh boy, I'm thinking positive here, but I looked at that machine and the technician got a laugh out of me as I stood there and wagged my finger at that new machine and said "you better not, just better not, find something--I've had it for this year."
We were out all day yesterday, started at 4 a.m., mammo appt. at 8 a.m. and I went at 7 a.m. and was the first on in the door and was home by 8 a.m. Hmmm, think I'll do that more often. Caught up on all the errands, shopping, and Ted found some electricals he will need and he just about bought the store out as he has to do something different with our telephones when he gets his new computer. Yep, 14 telephones at home, and 6 here at the lake. Oh, what fun he will have!
Guess that's about it for now, hope everybody is well, I'm still waiting to hear how Cal made out with the MRI, and I do agree with Jacquie (I think it was Jacquie) when she mentioned if there was anything bad they will contact you as soon as possible. Cal, I hope you let us know when you hear something.
A good day to all, hugs.

One of the perk of retirement has been taking early appointments and getting it out of the way. All physicals and dental work was done before the Winter weather sets in mid-IL. We had 2"of snow yesterday, but the worst part was when the temp went up enough to thaw, then dropped and froze. I had a new tutor assignment this morning. My original plan was to use the city bus to get there - a 10 minute ride and I wouldn't need to worry about where to park or keeping a meter filled. Plan changed when I heard how slick the side streets are - I would have needed to walk 3 blocks to the bus stop. I drove my car and found that the city has "hooded" all the meters for the holiday season. My new longer quilted coat and insulated boots arrived today, so I'll definitely be taking the bus most of the winter. I tutor on Tues A.M. and may also go on Thurs. We have another storm coming in later Weds, so I did my errands in the afternoon. The foam cushions I ordered for the kitchen chair upholstery project finally came in. I told the clerk I was actually glad they didn't come in before Thanksgiving - I would have gotten compulsive to get them done before the Feast. Instead, I just put the fabric away and will get to it after the holidays. Now I need to get started creating this year's New Year's card. It became a New Year's card when I was so busy at the office that I couldn't get it done in time for Christmas, so now it is a tradition. I include a picture of DH & myself on each card so no one will be shocked if they ever see us in person - LOL.
I'm not the person who said no news is good news, but that is our family motto. Off to cook DH some breaded pork chops - we've had enough poultry for a while.
