I set the alarm for 7:30 this morning to go out for breakfast with DH & oldest DS & to deliver approximately 30 coats & jackets to St. Vincent dePaul Society.  They need them so desperately here with unemployment at 9.4%.  The shelters are full & food pantries need food.  I want to help as much as possible.

I had an ugly hair meltdown yesterday & cut it myself...about an inch too short:-(  Now it takes twice as long to fix in the morning.  My hair is getting so thin & I really do need a perm to give it body.  Another thing for my "To Do List" before Christmas.

As I sit here looking around the house I see that I have bunches to do before I decorate for the holidays...arrrrrrgh!  We have too much "stuff" & it's difficult to get rid of, because it's good stuff...LOL!

Hope you're all having a good day.  (It's 18* here!)   Cal

Hi Cal--sounds like you had a fun morning with DH and DGS. Don't panic the necessary things will get done and the rest can wait.
I am behind too--was having what i thought was an earache Thursday night and all day yesterday, finally went to urgent care and was shocked to find out I have shingles! They attacked the area around my ear and it was like little electric shocks in my ear canal. Now I am taking an expensive anti-viral med 5 x a day for the next 10 days which is the day we fly to our DD's home! It has slowed me down too so I am giving myself the same advice I just gave you LOL
Have a good evening!

OMG - I feel so sorry for you with shingles. DH had it in the same area and had to see an eye specialist because it was in his eyelid. Very scary. Glad you caught yours in time - he waited a little too long to see MD. Once he started on the meds, he began to get well quickly. Yes, take it easy and let your poor body heal.

Thanks Jacquie--I'm glad I went too and so was the doc! The meds seem to be helping but make my stomach very queasy. Today I am trying to drink more liquids.
I hope you are having a fun Sunday!

Thanks Cal! The medicine seems to be working--the zinger pain has mostly subsided now it feels like pressure. Dr. said I could get the shot after this over with. My DD is a nurse and she told me the shot is actually a chicken pox booster shot. They have discovered that if they give it to adults it immunizes them from shingles. Interesting!
Have a good fun and warm Sunday.
Hugs,
Carol
