Office party alternative

I received email from a friend. Her company has decided to skip the holiday office party and collect Toys for Tots. They'll spend the party $$ on a toy shopping spree. She will also collect donations at her home, then take them to work. They hope to fill a van by next weekend. In past years I donated toys at my MDs office up the road, but they've moved. The only box I've seen was in the outer area of the discount store and I could just see people grabbing toys and running. With this new plan of hers, I went shopping on Friday. They especially needed toys for 11-14 yr old boys and girls. I asked DH for suggestions and got Batman radio controlled cars/motorcycle, plus handheld Nascar driving games. DH couldn't wait to get his hands on the game - it can be played through the wrapping - LOL. I had to make him stop before he wore out the batteries.

Good idea on the DH gift - it was $11 at local superstore.
