Not really, but oh boy!!! Our governor has been arrested. our last governor is in jail. It's a sad tale! The corruption is unreal. We were all so euphoric that our Senator is becoming president and then this.
I'm going to bury my head in the sand. (Oh wait any sand would be frozen!!!) Wake me when it's over!!!

At least you have another state to call home - I'm a native of IL. The arrogance is beyond belief. I grew up in Chicago proper and we knew that favors were made in trade for votes, etc., but it was all low level stuff. Both my DF and DGrF were helped in securing jobs as streetcar motorman because of my DGrM's involvement in Democratic precinct activities. But - once they had those jobs, they worked for a living and didn't expect anything else. Of course, I've lived in mid-IL for almost 50 years and now refer to everything North of I-80 as "Chicago". It's got to be hard on politicians who try to do the right thing. I just hope that our new president elect doesn't turn up tainted by the associations.
A few years back there was a petition motion to have South of I-80 secede and become state with new legislature. - LOL.

But you have more snow than we do. We had about 3 inches yesterday. Glad your ds got the driveway cleared for you. We're having January weather in Dec. in the Midwest. Does that mean we'll have an early Spring or longer winter???
Take care.
Did you catch the clip of him the day before the arrest? He was responding to reports of wiretapping and said they wouldn't find anything, he was honest, blah, blah. Is pathological lying a pre-requisite to running for high office in this state??
