...on my hands hurts & looks bad!  I have 5 bandaids & antibiotic on the worst of them, but can't seem to heal.  Of course, every time I wash my hands the bandaids get wet & come off.  I've tried everything & am now using Vaseline Clinical Therapy.  Any suggestions?

Volunteering at the library's used book store today from 11-3...I will NOT buy another book.  I have 100+ in my read-next book case & several more in the trunk of my car;-)  When I find a good one that looks like new I buy it...arrrgh!

It's time for me to get busy.  I thought I had my shopping done, but was told that DGD's boyfriend will be spending Christmas eve with us, so need to get a gift for him as well as DGS's girlfriend.  Can't wait 'til it's over!   Cal

Try the Quench line of body and hand lotions from Olay. The company has developed a process that allows moisture to go through the skin's top layer. I began using this 2 years ago and have turned many friends on to it. They now have an ultra version in a mousse form - it's great for the body, but a little greasy on the hands. The hand version comes in a squeeze bottle which sits on my kitchen sink. Even DH uses it and he usually has hands like sandpaper. FYI - big store like Wally World have their house brand of the same stuff and you can save $$. I also use their version of the Olay Regenerist face products and the overnight stuff makes my skin soft as a baby's.

I'm down to buying iTunes cards for the teens now. Need to start on the fleece pillow cases for the little ones.

Ouch, ouch, ouch. I don't know anything about cracked and dry hands, knock on wood have never used hand cream in my life. However, I have heard of people putting vaseling on their hands and wearing gloves over them for the night while in bed. Also, somebody mentioned that "Udder" cream, found in WalMart or anyplace local I imagine, is about the best you can get for all kinds of skin cuts, sores, dryness, etc. I bought it but never had to use it so I guess I'm not much help in the expertise of dry skin here, but that's just the few suggestions that I have always heard.

Cal,

I have a few ideas for you. First I am a great believer in Neosporin

Cal I have had a areal problem with dry skin, even on my boobs but I use oatmeal lotion from walgreens and I use a oatmeal bath it has shea butter in it. Gradually its getting better, I use Bellaplex on my face I buy it on line and its expensive but it really is helping to smooth my face. They send it once a month and I love it. Becky's idea is a good one I know several women that use gloves at night with vaseline. Vern knows how much problem I have had with my skin and face being dry so he doesn't mind me ordering it online. good luck it is miserable. hugs
