Anyone here do "senior" yoga? I borrowed a library book about easy yoga for aging bodies and found the local center offers a weekly class. I've tried Pilates and it's just too hard on my aging body.

Just wanted to give you an update -

Took my first class Wednesday. The regular instructor is out for 2 weeks, so there was a sub. He is also quite qualified, but is a believer in a lot of breathing routines. One of the other students told me I would really like the regular instructor. I am impressed that they supply all kinds of props for students to use to aid in doing the positions. There were several I could not do. Afterward I felt as if I've had a good massage - muscles were relaxed and stretched. I thought I'd pay for it today, the way I do after most exercise classes. Nope, feel fine. I will definitely return to class.

Jacquie, I've been taking yoga for 2 years. It's geared towards 55 and over. I love it! Before I started I had bad knee and hip pain - no more! The stretches they do using the straps have stopped my night time muscle cramps in my legs. I'm a firm believer.

Glad you found a class. It really makes a difference.

Hugs,
