Snowed In

Looks like we're going to be snowed in again today. They predict snow all day long and I have no intention of going anywhere. I plan to make some chicken soup and do some reorganizing of my books, knick-knacks, etc. Having to remove one bookcase really messed me up. I undecorated two of my Christmas trees this week but I'm still enjoying the main one. I may leave that one up for a while yet. I figure that I'm the only one here, and if I still enjoy it, I should be able to just keep it for a bit longer.
It looks like there's quite a large area effected by this snow, and I hope everyone one is doing ok with it. Take care.

The low pressure system must have slipped farther south than they had figured because we were just on the north edge of the snow. At my house we only got about 2" but I understand that down by the state line and in northern Illinois they got 8" and more. I'm glad I didn't get that much. Hope you fared well too.
ps: The chicken soup was yummy.

YUM...the chicken soup does sound good!
We have black ice today. A friend stopped by earlier and said the main roads were fine, but everything else is a skating rink. I didn't realize we had it until I saw icicles on the edge of the trellis and garbage can. I was going to make a quick run for another pair of all cotton sweat pants before the Summer clothes come out, but not today. This is laundry day, so I'll tend to that. I have a new yoga DVD to check out. BTW - the yoga class gave me 2 pain free days so I sent email to the instructor about how often I could do the routine. She said every day if possible, so I need to build this into my day. Now, if I can just get DH to understand that when the door to MY room is closed, that means I don't want to be bothered. His excuse is he's afraid he'll forget whatever it is he needs to say. I say write it down.
I bought 2 whole chickens on Friday, will bake them in roasting bag. The recipe uses 1/2 cup of sherry or white wine, whole carrots, halved baking potatoes, whole garlic cloves, alongside the chickens. I add tarragon or whatever herb strikes my fancy.

Sorry, but I had to laugh at your description of your DH & your closed door.
