First we had snow, from about the 10th until the 28th, we had so much snow, that we could hardly leave our island. Now living on an island in Puget Sound is difficult enough by itself. But, we almost never have snow last longer than 3 days, it lasted for over 2 weeks this year. DH & I drove to Vancouver, BC to have New Years with friends. They had even more snow than we did and it snowed 8" on NY's eve.
Now, we have flooding. DH and I were lucky to get home two nights ago from DD's house. They closed the bridge to our island at 10 PM. (we came through at (9:30. There was so much water that the main Highway flooded and the sewer lagoon in Stanwood overflowed onto the highway. It is a mess. We are still getting flood warnings. We drove to DS's house in Milton today (2 hrs each way) to drop off the truck. DS hit a curb with their car and it needs to go in the shop for repair. DH and I will be staying home now for a few days. I think I need to just put up my feet and take a rest.
Jacquie: I got one of those Malibu Pilates chairs and I really like it. So far so good. I didn't think I would like Pilates, but I am enjoying the exercise program. I do wear shoes during the program, but that is because I have such bad feet can't go bare foot. Enjoy your work-out and tell your DH to tape a note to the closed door. It does work.
Hope all are warm and safe.

Cal:
Well I hope your snow goes away soon.
