I see Jacquie and Cal are using stevia for sweetening. I've been using it for years. I first heard about it in the Fat Flush book by Ann Louis Gittleman. I bought a stevia cookbook you may be intersted in by Ray Sahelian M.D. and Donna Gates. It also explains the backpedaling by the FDA in recommending this product. I notice it's now advertised in a few products so the regulations must have been lifted. It's very natural, from the stevia plant  so I'm glad it's getting popular. In fact I grew some in my herb garden a couple of years ago, dried the leaves and used them  to sweeten iced tea.


I've never used it for tapioca pudding. I'll have to try that. My mom was famous for her tapioca pudding so it will bring back good memories.
