...recovering from yesterday's whirlwind of activities? I did enjoy the inauguration. How about you?
Remember that kitchen floor desperately in need of scrubbing? It's what I will do today before 3 p.m.; I promise. Meat balls with cream of celery soup & Lipton onion soup mix, mashed potatoes & a vegetable will be an easy dinner.
I hope tonight's American Idol isn't as foolish as it has been since it started. I wouldn't be watching this part of it if it wasn't for the local girl who tried out in Puerto Rico. Then to think that she may not even be shown...arrrgh. Of course, she couldn't tell us anything about it.
I'm off to the kitchen! Happy day! Cal

I think a lot of people are catching up on what they didn't get done on Tues. I was glued to TV until after the inauguration, then ran a few errands. Rushed back to find the parade hadn't even started yet. One of our local units was way back in the order and the networks cut away before they were seen. What a shame that it was so cold that much of the reviewing stand was empty. Wouldn't it be nice to have elections in Feb or Mar, then inauguration at cherry blossom time in DC? I sewed on the new chair covers in the evening, as much of the "ball" music didn't interest me. Just wanted to see the dresses. I loved Mrs. Biden's red strapless gown. She's quite a looker.
I had a sinus headache which sent me back to bed for a nap this morning. The weekly yoga class was at 12:30 and I made it. The regular instructor is back and she is great at showing adaptations of the poses for people like me with limited movement in some areas. One of the regulars is older than me, so I don't feel so bad - LOL. I did come home so wiped out and needing a late lunch that I took a catnap when I was done. DH was at the ear MDs so it was very quiet in the house - just me & 2 sleeping kitties. I'm glad I didn't go with him to see the MD. DH has a moisture problem in the ear that wears an aid and it leads to periodic infections. This has gone on for 2 months. I bought him an expensive ear dryer, he doesn't use it. Grrr. Glad the MD told him to dry the ear out well several times a day. Hah.
Tutoring will resume again on Thursday morning and I'm looking forward seeing the students. Most of them are working to pass GED tests in order to get decent jobs. So sad that so many of them dropped out of HS and have been struggling.

Hi Cal:
Today is the first day I've been out of bed.
Hi Cal,
I spent the day shopping with mother, but we got home just in time for the inauguration. I watched all of that with mother and then I came home and watched it most of they day. For some reason I was glued to the TV most of the rest of the day. Among doing laundry that is..LOL
DH and I have been as sick as we could be; it must be a flu of some kind.

Well Cal, like everybody else we also watched the whole day of inauguration, and that threw everything else so far behind.
I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well, Lottie.
How is your mother doing, Becky?
Lou, same question for you as for Lottie...have you eaten any products with peanut butter in them?
Yes, Mrs. (Dr.?) Biden looked outstanding in her red dress & I liked Michelle Obama's, too.
