Illinois gov? If you listen to him he is the greatest thing since Tiger Woods came on the planet. I will give it to him he has done some good, but selling Obama's senate seat not such a good idea. Just wondering since so many of you are from areas in that neck of the woods.

Don't get me started... In our area is referred to as Bag-o-s*h*i*t. And I voted for him the first time.

Whether or not he has committed impeachable offenses, he has been very confrontational with the state legislature since day 1. The first thing was refusing to live in the capital. Too many connections with Chicago politicos - sad statement from a born Chicago Dem. - LOL. At this stage I hope they find a way to get someone else in the job and get on with running our crumbling state.

Well, I listened to the guy a few times, and I am glad that they finally got rid of him.

Sounds like Illinois is better off w/o him!

But he really does think highly of himself!!

He can use a LOT of words to say pretty much nothing!! LOL

I told dh Blago reminded me of the kid who brought me his English term paper to read, not understanding (or pretending not to understand) his bad grade...I read it and said "You used a lot of words to say nothing"

A lot of BS..and they hope by combining a lot of BS with a lot of charm they will bamboozle many people

Palin was the same..I analyzed some of her sentences (and I use the term loosely LOL) lots of "hot button" terms linked with prepositional phrases

have you ever watched Leno's "Jaywalking"? there are a lot of uniformed peolple out there..can't even name the VP, etc

but I feel like this period of time is an adjustment..like picking up a rock and finding all the bugs underneath and exposing them to light: the Blagoviechs, the Madoffs, etc...now is the time to contact our representatives and demand accountabilty...regulations and oversight..all the things that had been removed

states are severely short of $$, time to assess what is essential and what isn't..it is very sad

we are in for a tough time....

Great analysis. I'd better watch what I write - LOL. Luckily, I feel this is the place the words I write are what I'd be saying of you ladies were sitting next to me. Sometimes I edit and wonder what I was thinking...

thanks

I don't analyze "words from the heart" which is what we see here..yes, here is like a conversation with friends

but I am always on the lookout for the "trick" in what these public figures say..many got where they are by having a slick tongue...I am more concerned with their "content"

I really educated myself during the last election, more than ever before, amazing then the contradictions that appear!!

have a good day! (and I mean that sincerely LOL)

We have a favorite scene from a movie which describes how we feel about many politicians. Charles Durning is the governor of TX in "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas". He dances to "Do a Little Sidestep". DH & I will actually break out in song while watching some of the speeches.

well, that is MUCH better than what I often say!

which is "He/she is full of SH**"

LOL

which is my harshest expletive , I am usually more....what's a good word? reserved? polite? LOL

I do find that one of my mother's expressions often comes to mind..when she was a girl in NYC there was an expression "chinky shows" which was an altered kids version of "cheating shows" ..I don't know the origin

but it so often fits: those who cheat will be found out

I don't know much about him, except what I have heard on TV and seen of him on some TV interviews and he seems like a bit of a nut. Guess it is best he is out.
