We have a whopping 5º this morning. February is almost over and we're still having January temperatures. Brrr. Wish I could stay home. On the bright side is that it is suppose to warm up as the day goes on. I'm sooo ready for Spring.
I see that you just wrote this. Let me tell you what I'm doing right now. I'm sitting in my house in 36º weather and we're getting rain mixed with sleet. My drive way is all slushy and I can only imagine what it's going to be like when the temperature drops a little. The northern part of the state is suppose to get about 10 inches of snow but here they expect us to get 2 to 3 inches on top of the ice. Hmmmm. I think I'd rather be with you. Do you have an extra bedroom?
Yesterday a house just down the street from me burned. The newspaper says that the people were trying to supplement the heat in their house by burning their fireplace. That's the area where the fire started. They were told that the chimney pipe burned through. When I drove past this morning I could see that it's pretty much gutted. There's a shell but the inside is all burned out. I think I'll stop burning any wood until I have a chance to have a chimney inspector come out and make sure that all is ok with mine.
Well, at least your looking at all this temperature business with a positive attitude.
yes, we woke up to 8 degrees
