Here Comes The ICE

We had rain almost all day yesterday - it amounted to about an inch. This morning it started again. When I got home from church it was just starting to freeze on the trees. My ds came out and picked me up so I could get to the grocery store because I told him I wasn't going to drive again today. I don't think he believed me about the ice because there wasn't any in town. Well, we just got back from shopping and now it's icing up all over. It's still coming down as rain but is freezing on wherever it hits. ds just dropped me off and headed right back home because soom it may get very bad on the roads. He believes me now. With all the rain, my yard is a big pool of water. It's almost like my house is an island in the middle of a big lake. Last night the weatherman said that we were suppose to be getting measurable snow but I don't know if that will come on top of the rain/ice or if we're getting it as rain instead of snow. I'd rather deal with snow that this ice.

Spring is coming to parts of the country :-) Have a good evening.

Hi Kaci:
We are still getting snow and ice here too.
Thanks for letting me know there is someone else who is tired of cooking, I'm even more tired of the cleaning up. Since I retired, it seems that's all I've done. The novelty of being home with enough time to cook some dishes has worn off. I'm ready for Summer suppers - BLTs. I will plant lettuce and snow pea seeds this afternoon, they can handle the iffy cold weather.

Jacquie:
I'm with you on the cooking.
Sure wish my DH would go somewhere. The last time was one evening in Feb when it was too cold for me to venture out. I've also discovered I'm tired of eating! Nothing except popcorn appeals to me. I get half way through my plate of food and stop. If this keeps up, I might actually get a figure back before I depart my earthly bonds - LOL.

Gee Jacquie:
You sound like me.
Lou, is that a promise?
Hi Kaci:
I just brought a very pretty potted Azalea today.
