I have off today and thought I'd see who's around today.  And, nobody seems to be here.  Are you all having beautiful weather and no time to be indoors?  I hope that's the case.  It's nice here too, but a bit cool for my taste.  Right now it's 32º.  I'll be leaving shortly to go to the doctors office.  I have to have a follow-up CAT scan on my lungs.  Some time ago they found a spot there and have been doing periodic checks to be sure it's not changing.  So, off I go.  Hopefully all will be well.

Hi Kaci--it is lovely in our neck of the woods too. I even took a walk yesterday--not very far -- I HATE to exercise but the air is soo sweet I feel guilty staying inside LOL hope you get good news from the scan and you have a great Friday and weekend.

Today was a reading tutoring morning. Came home for quick lunch, then need to run some errands. As it is Spring break next week for the schools, I will be home as much as I want and can work on projects. First is to give the house the annual pressure washing to keep the siding from becoming dirt stained. I also do the window screens, as it's amazing how dirty they can become. Don't need that stuff blowing in when I open the windows. Next is to clean all 19 windows. They tilt in, so isn't isn't too bad - except for the 2 small ones over the sink. I also work on some sewing projects - a fabric shoulder bag, 2 print skirts and a coordinating knit T shirt.

Must remember to fast tonight so that I can get my semi-annual lab work done early Fri. I forgot for the last 2 nights. Haven't rcvd any calls from MDs office about the latest back xray, so I guess everything is routine aging.

Also need to decide what to do with my hair. I've been growing it out all winter and it's hit that ear length awkward point. I'd like to get most of the dried, colored part cut off and then go to a look like Katie Couric's hairstyle.

I hope the CT test is normal. I'll say some prayers for you. When do you get results?

Well, one of the reasons I started growing mine out to look like your current style, was that I was wearing the same bangs I had in my childhood photos, minus the long braids. I didn't get to the salon today, and DH made one of his rare comments about my looks. He said my hair is just beginning to look good. The rule is usually to conceal the face parts you don't like as much as possible. Well, I have horizontal wrinkles, vertical creases, plus discoloration at the scalp where benign growths were removed. I think I'll go back to my bangs and tuck the rest behind my ears for a while. I did discover that a few well placed Velcro rollers give the style a lot of lift.

Well, he picked a slim 17 yr old with long black hair - LOL. Not sure either of us meant by "for better or for worse". That was almost 51 yrs ago.
