Good afternoon y'all..........

I haven't been posting very much because sitting here still gets my back.  We have gotten rid of one thing that was bothering both of us.  Our old van was getting more and more difficult for us to get into.  It was 20 years old, but only had 74,400  miles on it.  NO dents, dings, good engine, carpeting and seats.  We had wanted to keep on using it until we couldn't drive anymore, but the fact that we had to be able to raise one foot above the other knee kept us from being able to climb in it.  I did some research on the Internet, and printed out pages on trucks that we might want.  I found that was a great thing to do;  the casual holding of the pages let the salesmen know that we were looking at other vehicles.  Of course, all of them are desperate to sell anything!  The truck that we bought is a Ford Ranger, with everything that you can imagine on it.  The trade-in was better than the Blue Book, and the whole deal turned out much better than we had anticipated.

Betty, it's so difficult to think about those poor policemen and their families.  Wives without husbands and children without fathers are so sad to think about.  Even the family of the piece of trash that shot them are pitiable.

Y'all join me at the sink.

Lottie, sorry your back is still bothering you. It sounds like the new truck was a great deal. Glad you got rid of the van. They are hard to get into.

How about some margaritas at the sink tonight. I'll bring the fixins!

Hugs,

I like Margaritas, but we will have to only lightly salt the rim on the glass for me.

Hey - I went to a party on Sat. eve. and learned that my RX pain meds mix just fine with whiskey :)

Sounds like the Ranger is a good vehicle for you.

Of course, there will be the makins' for anything you want; don't forget my cabinet under the sink is a magical place.
