Poor old brain

I've been sewing clothes from commercial patterns forever. Now I decided to do something "crafty" and bought a pattern from an independent company for a soft fabric shoulder bag. Geez, it's worse than learning to use a new software program. The directions are minimal, my 6 yr old DGrD could make better illustrations. I know I'm supposed to exercise my brain, but this is ridiculous. But, I'm 1/2 way done and almost understand what I'm doing. It's one of those things where I have to get away, digest it all, then get back to work. All I can say is this had better stimulated a lot of brain cells - LOL.

I used to sew almost all of my clothes years ago, when I was slim and trim.

How do you make the robe with towels?

I like making bags from fabric because they are so much lighter than ones from leather/vinyl. It's fun to have a wardrobe of prints in different color families to add a punch to summer outfits. I can't afford to add new clothes every time the fashion changes, so this gives me a little more up-to-date look. The one I'm making looks like tie dyed flowers in orange on a shocking pink background. The zipper and tassel are black.

I made those towel robes years and years ago, and about six of them so as to be in different colors.
