there's a snow storm on the way. It's not suppose to start until about 6 or 7 tonight and they predict that we'll get 4 to 7 inches. We're on the northern edge of the low pressure system, so we're in for mainly snow while those to the south will be getting more rain. Oh well, I didn't have any plans for tonight anyway. I'll stay warm and cozy in my house until it's time to go out and shovel, and the shoveling will be good exercize as long as I am smart about it. The magic dust is to lighten the snowfall amounts and to give me a safe snowshoveling experience.
Last night I was at dd's house as it was dd-Sue's 30th birthday. We just had a small family gathering to celebrate it.
Prayers for those that are in need of them.
Take care everyone,

I saw the weather map and noticed you are getting more than I am in mid-IL. There is usually a diagonal storm line to the West of us that avoids dumping too much on us. We expect only 1-2" and temps to mid 40s on Sunday. I just hope I can convince DH to wait for the sun to melt everything. He gets antsy and would be outside snowblowing at dawn if I didn't stop him.
I've been in a minor flood once and don't ever want to repeat that. One can cope with other weather, but once the water starts coming, nothing to do but run. In our family we have a saying (based on what actually happened) - "when the washer in the basement starts buzzing because it's floating off balance IT'S TIME TO GET OUT".

It's sleeting here right now - snow would actually be better!
Be careful shoveling! Hopefully it will be the last time this year!
Hugs,
