About Martha, and etc.

Hi everybody,

I posted one post to Betty, and then couldn't get the toolbar after that, and DH played with it and he thinks he got it to pop in but that's what it does if you wait long enough.

Cal, I tried to post to you, glad you didn't have to have the procedure and that you did your talking to the doc and he finally realizes that it's not your back but your leg.  If it's your hip, there are hip replacements but they do take a lot out of you from what I hear, yet people, when fully recovered do feel better.  My friend had that surgery, and her complaint is that the hip that was operated on also made that leg 1" shorter, so out went all the shoes and she had to have special wedges built into the shoe at $70.00 per shoe.  Honestly, you can't win for losing.  But, she is out of pain.

Jacquie, did you mention that you have degenerative disk disease?  My DH has it, discovered it many years ago after lifting something heavy that landed him on his face, went to dr. and dx'd with this.  He can still lift heavy things in a very careful way, but has learned that what triggered it with him is when he jumped and landed on his feet hard--which he tries not to do at all costs.  Of course, as we get older, this does get to be a common cause for many people.  I hope you get relief for this, prayers with you.

Mindy, I hope that Rich is doing better, sciatic I have had myself, sometimes I felt mushing was a great relief if I could get in a comfortable standing position, and it actually gave it a rest because I wasn't walking!!!  I never had sciatic until I went to the chiropractor about 25 years ago and he took care of the issue at hand but I ended up with sciatic instead--a lot at first and now down to next to nothing as my body adjusted itself back into a comfortable position.  That is why the chiropractors want to work on babies as their bones are forming so that they don't get scioliosis, which I also have, and I told the dr. just leave it alone and it doesn't bother me and I don't intend to and didn't do anything about it and I'm fine.  If anything kicks up with sciatic, I take it easy for 3 days, maybe a few Tylentol, and I'm usually fine again.

And now about Martha, she is busy packing which is really a tough job deciding what to leave, give away, toss away and take with her.  She said the PC will be leaving the first week in April, which is right about now, so she'll be off board untill at least the first week in May.  The kids will be packing a uhaul with what she is taking, and they will be bringing her car up also.  Closing is on the 23rd of April and she will fly north on the 28th of April.  I imagine it will take her a little time on this end also to get things settled and to get back to the board.  She does think of everybody and often wonders how everybody is doing, and I know she sends her best wishes to everybody.

As for DH and I, we are both well, and I am still "toolbar" aggravated, and that's why I don't post to everybody and sometimes don't get to read all, as when I can't post I get frustrated and then get off.  This morning I could only post the one post and that was it, until this one popped up by starting a new one.  So, I'm off for today, and I'm thinking of you all, and I am sending prayers for anybody that needs them, seems that there are a lot of aches and pains out there lately.

Everybody, have a good day, hugs.

Bea,

Thanks for the update on our Martha. It seems she is very busy these days. This move sure came about quickly. I know she will be glad to be settled in again, but I also know that she loves Florida a lot and has many happy memories there too. I am glad that she will have family to watch over her.

Happy to read that you and Ted are doing well. That is always good news. Take care now and be on the lookout for Spring to get your way.

Thanks for the update on Martha, Bea. Moving is so stressful but I know that she will adapt beautifully. I hope she will go back and rent in FL for awhile in the winter.

Best to you and Ted.

their trying therapy and he is on darvocets, first, then an epideral. the doctor discussed surgery, but said when it came to that,he was very conservative, trying to find an answer before he would commit to surgery.the most medication they can give him kaci,is pain medication and thats not good. its just putting a band aid on a bigger probelm...tonite he was in pretty much pain again, and he is feeling very down as he has other health issues also. min
