Tax Check

Ok, I have just about had it with my DH. He just bounced the payment for our 2008 Federal Taxes.  Yep, DH filed our tax return and then did not transfer the money to cover the electronic payment to the IRS.

So, we got charged by the IRS $35.00 for an overdraft fee.  Fortunately the bank transferred the money for us. But sometimes, I could really just kill my H.  I told him two days ago to be careful when he filed our return.  Does he listen, NO.  Grrrr----.  To top that off, I had to get his new Medicare card out of his wallet today (he told me where he had put it) for his DR.  Tucked behind the Medicare card was 7 twenty dollar bills.  Now, I do not have a problem with him having the money, I just hate that he hides money in the same manner as his father.  If I ask if he needs any cash, he will always take it.  So, I think what he is doing is really sneaky.  I don't hide $$, so I expect him not to also.  Guess, I am expecting too much. Some habits we learn from our parents are not good and this is one of them.

Thanks for letting me vent.  It does help and I know by tomorrow I will find the humor in this, but right now I do not think hiding $$ and bouncing our tax payment is very funny.

I think Bea is right..gives him some security, and perhaps it is relatively harmless. and learned behavior from his dad

if you are a careful person and he is careless, that could drive you nuts.

I keep some "emergency cash" in the house but not too much, and I used to keep some in the car but no longer, so I guess I understand the "security issue"

I have bad vibes about hiding large sums, that is what my ex did to me

good morning ,Lou

well, how very good of DH to put in the flower beds...in the end, we all have our redeeming features! LOL

I figure I must have quirks that drive others nuts! I am not a risk taker either...pretty cautious...

we were just talking about raised beds yesterday for flowers or vegetables..they would work well here

but the next project is an awning for the deck

and prep for a trip to CO !

have a good day!
