Hello, everyone! :) I just found your board and thought I'd introduce myself. :P I'm Gypsy, I'm 62. I had heart surgery in mid March. My dog, Mika, is my "exercise guru," and we are rebuilding our walk mileage each day. I'm married. DH & I will be celebrating our 33rd Anniversary this Friday. :) He is taking a vacation day and we are going to see a car museum, go out to a movie and dinner. We have a grown DD who just turned 28.

Blessings,

Gypsy

Hi and a big welcome Gypsy. I love the name.

I am so happy that you found us and you will love the gals here. Drop by often. This time of year is pretty slow as it is spring and we have some gardners here and I know for me it is really busy. Do drop in and come back often. You and Mika keep on walking, it is so good for you.

I am Becky and I am married for nearly 49 years. I have 2 adult daughters and 3 amazing grandsons that I adore. We have no pets now.

Thank you all for a lovely welcome! ;)) And for your wonderful introductions, too!

DH & I had a great day on Friday. The car museum was very interesting and we had a great time seeing vehicles from the early 1900s to the 80s. We went to IHOP for brunch first. I stuck to fairly healthy, having a fresh spinach and mushroom omelet, that I ordered made with Egg Beaters. :) I ate some of the buttermilk pancakes, but had them without butter and used sugar free syrup. It was still yummy! :D (I have been on Weight Watchers since July last year, and before my heart surgery lost 80 lbs., which the surgeon said is one reason I'm doing well now. The weight loss and daily exercise which the WW program includes as well as learning to eat a healthy diet).

For dinner we went to the Elephant Bar & Restaurant. It was a lot of fun and had a neat atmosphere. Made me think of Humphrey Bogart in "Casablanca." ;) I had a yummy rum Mai Tai and DH has a Margarita and we toasted each other. :D we both had delicious dinners as well.

Our movie turned out to be a video we bought at the car museum, about the first road trip, in 1903, in an automobile from SF to NYC. It was a documentary, made by PBS. It has closed captioning, which I need as I am hard of hearing. Very interesting. ;)

It was a great day just hanging out together. Later, when we got home, we took Mika doggie for a walk. So that was our day. :)

Blessings,

Gypsy

Hi, Becky. ;) Thanks for posting. Mika & I had a great walk today. We'll have to be out early for a few days instead of our usual 11-ish start in the morning, so it's not too hot for Mika. I carry water for us and a little portable bowl for her. :P I like to walk before lunch as it keeps my appetite in check, too. :P It's going to get hot over the weekend. 90° or higher. UGH! <:=\ I *much* prefer weather in the mid 60s, but it's May, so we'll be getting warmer weather through the summer and fall. I'm glad we live in a temperate zone. Wish we'd get more rain to end our drought, but I don't think we'll get much now. :(

Blessings,

Gypsy
