Any1 have HEMATURIA? DYSURIA? help!

I've been having what I think is HEMATURIA for the past two and a half years. It's a urinary infection, where small amounts of blood cells seep in through the bladder wall making it painful during or after urinating- Was wondering if there was anyone else out there with a condition like mine??... It doesn't hurt to pee, but afterwards, it hurts to the point the I have to crouch and sit in a tub of 'hot' water. Pain pills don't do anything for that kind of pain; that's why my solution was heat to try to relax it away. But, staying a 'hot' bath for an hour every time I get the pain, does it's toll on my skin! :( I think it originated when I had a kidney problem back in high school... That was over five years ago; but I now think it's back to bit me in the #*&$^@%!!! I've researched it and found that the way they find out if it is Hematuria is by shoving cameras up the ureter!! -NO THANK YOU!!! And there's only partial treatment, after which you have to have cameras up there again! I'm nervous, and just wondering if someone knows what I'm going through or what I can do?... I've tried taking those Azo pills to fight off bacteria, etc. but they don't do much... Anyone have any advice or experiences of their own?? I don't have health insurance & quite honestly can't afford to know what's wrong with me! :( Any advice would be appreciated... Thanks for reading-

Greetings and Welcome britbabe_claireg83,
Claire, most of the time when we try to dx (diagnose)
Yes, I have this right now. The doctor found white blood cells and protein in urine, but due to the steroids I'm atking for another condition, the urinary infection pregressed to my kidney. This is one in a long line of infections for me, and I'd wlecome any confirmation. My advice: speak to your GP. Explore with her your options, and explain your concerns. Left untreated, it can get worse.
Good luck. :)
