pelvic pressure pain

Has anyone else had this problem? I have started bleeding inbetween periods usually during mid cycle when ovulating. Ever since I had my 2nd child (Sept. '04) I have had pelvic pressure pain just like when I was pregnant. My gyno. said it would get better w/ time after 6 wk. check up. It did seem to get better but then a few months ago I started bleeding during ovulation and called Dr. and said not to worry that happens sometimes. Well, this month I started bleeding again on day 11 of my cycle and it lasted 2 days w/ a couple of blood clots. It wasn't heavy but enough for a regular pad every few hours. I also had major cramps whenever I would have a BM the week before. I called the Dr. and made an apptmt. but it wasn't until 2 wks. later. Then last night after I exercised I started bleeding again and i'm about day 15 in my cycle and more pain and pressure in my pelvic area just like when I was 8-9 mo. pregnant. It hurts if I stand for too long and it hurts if I sit on a hard surface when I got to stand up. Last night and today it has really been uncomfortable to walk. It's really hard to explain the pain but it's similar to when pregnant w/ the pressure. I have a new apptmt. on this Friday. I just wondered if I should go sooner to the Dr. or if anyone has any idea on what this could be? I also have had some pain in my lower back and the last few days pain on the left side of my pelvic area (i think from releasing an egg). Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jackie

Greetings and Welcome Jackie,
Thank You for letting us know more about you by filling out your profile.
>>>I have a new apptmt. on this Friday.
You can always call to see if there is a cancelation or have them call you if there is one before Friday.
I went to my Gyn. and he did an exam and said everything looked and felt normal. He scheduled an ultrasound for Tues. He said I could consider going on the pill and that would help the midcycle bleeding and the pains w/ ovulation. I am just so frustrated because I don't think it has to do w/ ovulation. It feels like pressure or something falling out of my vagina or pulling on it. It has eased up some and it's not as bad. I have been staying off of my feet more and not doing as much physically if that's possible w/ a 12 mo. old and a 2 1/2yr. old. SO I don't know if that's why it's eased up or not. Hopefully the ultrasound will show something. If it doesn't show anything abnormal and he doesn't think it's anything I will go for a 2nd opinion. I shouldn't have to have this pain for doing normal activities w/ my kids like sitting on the floor playing w/ them. I'll give another update next week from the Ultrasound if I find out anything.
Thanks for your concern,
Jackie
Jackie!
I hope the ultrasound is enlightening!
Do you use an IUD?
I had my vaginal ultra sound today. My Dr. found a polyp and will have a 2nd ultra sound done on Friday w/ the dye injected into my cervix to make sure it's a polyp and not fibroids or something else. I'll give you an update then.
Thanks,
Jackie
Thanks for the update Jackie be sure to let us know!

When I had the ultra sound today my Dr. said the polyp to the nurse it was an endometrional something polyp. SO I don't know what that means if it was just the location or just a generic description of it? He didn't mention anything else about endometriosis. My sister has endometriosis and I've heard it's genetic. I don't have really heavy periods or really painful ones either so I don't know if that's a possibility. Does your sister have the painful periods and heavy periods, that's what my sister has?
Thanks for your input.

Hi Jackie!
What did your doctor tell you?
I went to the dr. today for the 2nd. ultra sound today w/ the dye injected into my cervix so the Dr. could see the polyp better. It's the size of the tip of his pinky finger and it's in the back of my uterus. I'll have to have it surgically removed in a week or two. They'll send the tissue for testing to make sure it's benign. He said that's why I've been bleeding midcycle and may have caused my pelvic pressure and pain. I don't know if when he does the surgery he'll have more info. about it or a diagnosis? Today he said it was just a polyp or tissue. I'll let you know when I have the surgery.
Thanks for your concern,
Jackie
