Does anyone else have these symptoms?

I feel really weird about asking but, it's kind of anonymous, so here goes...sometimes I can go 7 - 10 days without a bowel movement. When I finally do go, even though I don't have to work at it, I feel totally worn out. I do notice that it is happening more and more lately. Another weird thing is that even though I empty my bladder before I go to bed, when I wake up in the morning, my back is killing me (more just pressure than pain) until I go to the bathroom. Sometimes, I will wake up early, go to the bathroom and get back into bed and b/c I have no discomfort, I can go back to sleep for a long time.

I had a hysterctomy 2 years ago - was very smooth so i don't think it has anything to do with that. At 45, I am happily married with 4 kids. My parents and all 4 grandparents range from non insulin dependent diabetic to serious diabetic. I just went for my annual checkup....the doctor didn't seem to find anything out of the ordinary. My glucose level was 120. Given that the blood was taken at 3 p.m. he didn't seem too concerned although I hadn't really eaten much that day.

Any ideas? Does anyone else have these questions or symptoms?

All of it sounds like me. I had the hysterectomy because of a fybroid cyst that was producting moderate monthly pain. I could have had another less invasive surgery but since there was no guarantee it wouldn't grow back, and since I have 4 great kids, I opted for the hysterctomy. 4 kids was quite enough and since I wasn't going to be using the equipment any more it was no problem. I had no problem conceiving them at all.

Positive thoughts that your medical professional will be able to pinpoint the problem soon.

I am sorry about the fibroid cyst.
