Hi Ladies! Have a quick question and wondering if anyone can help or relate. I got my period on Sunday but on Saturday, I started to notice this slight pain in the back of my head on the left side. It almost feels like a little headache or pinched nerve, it isn't super painful but it is annoying. I've had it for about 4 days now off and on. Can this possibly be hormone or even change in weather related? I have taken asprin and don't notice a huge difference, but again its been off and on. Thanks in advance for any input.

Hi Milady - thanks for your reply! Do you mean birth control pills can also trigger headaches, because I'm no longer on the pill. It isn't real painful or like a migraine (although I hear the sometimes certain types of migranes aren't super painful). I drank some red wine last Friday and started having this dull pain on saturday, then I got my period on sunday and I still have the pain on and off. It has been really cold here this week and also rainy somedays, so I don't know if its a mix of things going on. I just know that I took 2 asprin and it didn't help a whole lot. It isn't hurting much right now, but I notice it might start when I wake up in the morning. Thanks for the links too, I started to read through some of them. I also get full blown PMS symptoms before and during my period regulary. My stomach gets real bloated, my breats blow up and are sore and I get emotional. I am definately going to write things down like you mentioned in your previous post. Well, thanks again and I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

I woke up again this morning and felt the slight "pinch" in the back of my head. Hopefully it is just hormone related because my period is practically at its end now. Anyway, thanks for all of your replies, it did put my mind at ease some. :)

I was thinking, could it be your pillow or that you are just sleeping wrong?

Now that you mention it, that thought has been occurring to me also. I have a pillow top matress, which I haven't been to crazy about anyway and you don't always get the best night sleep on it. But is it possible for this to just be on one side of my head from the way I sleep? It's not really in my neck but moreso in the lower part of my head. I also sit in front of a computer all day at work and I wonder if it has something do with it.

Make various changes but don't overlook a trip to your doc if it keeps up.
