No period for 2 months

Tue, 03-07-2006 - 12:22pm
I had my tubes tied in December of 2003. After that my period was always between 21 and 28 days. I was suppose to start January 12, 2006 but haven't as of yet. Took a home pregnancy test last weekend, it was negative. Been having low back pain, sometimes a stabbing feeling. Sides hurt at times. Suppose to had pap in January but I put it off because hubby is unemployed right now which means no insurance.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
How long can you go without a period before it causes other problems?

I have always had late periods but never this late. Once I had my tubes tied it was between 21 and 28 days every month. The last period I had it was bright red blood also.
Use to be on BCP but that was over 6 years ago.

My periods always use to be late. Doctor never said why or even checked anything. After I had my tubes tied is when they were regular. I'm thinking it might be hormones. I have another problem I have been battleing for about 2.5 years now and everything the doctor gives me, it always comes back. Here in the last month or so, I have noticed an increase in facial hair. I'm trying to wait on the tax return to set up an appointment because right now I don't have insurance. And I'm pretty sure this visit is going to cost a lot. Especially if they run alot of test. But when I go I'm going to tell them to test me for everything they can think of.

BV. I have had this now for over 2.5 years now. I have went to the doctor so many times and everything they give me only works for a while then it's back! I haven't been to the doctor for this in 6 months or longer. Get tired of paying for medicine that doesn't work. And I have read online where BV can be hormone related too.

UPDATE:
Finally got to see a Gyn today. I'm not pregnant but I knew that already. He said as women get older sometimes they skip periods. He said if within the next 2 months I don't start, to come back and see him. That will make me 4 months late. He didn't say what he would do or anything like that. A friend of mine said probably a D & C.
The BV, he gave me Metronidazole 500mg for 2 weeks and Relagard one applicator full once a week. If after 2 weeks, still having problems come back and see him.

He didn't say what he would do but a friend of mine said probably a D&C. I don't know if menopause depends on when our mom's started or not but I asked my mom and she didn't start till she was 52.

How did you manage to get rid of your BV? How long did you have it?
