Worst Housewife in the World!!!

The last time I remember my house being clean and nicely decorated was when I was single!
I have three kids now - 5,4 and 2 ... I'm living in chaos and just can't seem to get anything done when they are awake. I used to be able to justify a messy house when I was working fulltime or had a newborn but I've been home with the kids for the last year and the house is just as much a mess as when I was working!
I see other mother's whose kids sit in front of the television or play nicely while they do their housework ... mine are either wanting to help (argh!!!) or get into a fistfight the minute I leave the room to start something!
If your house is clean - how do you do it?????
tired of the squalor ...

Start with just a little and soon it will become habit and routine.
Good luck!

I use this site and it has helped. Not super fast but slowly. I think you should take a look at the site and give it a try.
There is also support groups for your area on Yahoo for this site.
Good luck.

Just to add to the laughs and frustration of trying to get anything done with kids around ...
yesterday I hired a high school girl to watch the kids so I could put a bunch of stuff up to the attic without them climbing up after me. I was so looking forward to my "2hours" to myself!
The girl shows up, face all puffy - she had obviously been crying. So i send the kids upstairs and sit her down for a talk. Oh I'm so glad I'm not a teenager anymore!!!! School problems, grade problems, boyfriend problems ... took an hour and alot of tissues but she finally felt better. She decided to take the kids out for a walk since I only had an hour left before her mom picked her up. As I'm getting all their shoes on my 4 year old daughter turns to me and says "Oh mommy, my stomach hurts ..." and starts puking all over the floor. I rush her to the bathroom ... the sitter takes the other two outside. We spend an hour in the bathroom - more vomiting, diarhea. I get her cleaned up, the floor mopped and the front doorbell rings ... its the babysitter's mom coming to get her.
So much for my productive afternoon!!!! We've all had them! Huh?
