Hi, I have an 8 month old boy at home who has 2 teeth on the bottom for the last couple of months now.We just noticed that he has 4 TEETH coming in on top at THE SAME TIME. Has anyone else had this happen and how did you deal with the teething discomfort??

My dd liked to chew on a cool wet wash cloth... it seemed to help. If it gets too bad you might check your Pediatrician about giving him tylenol.

You beat me!!!!!

I have an 8 month old daughter (my 1st)

She had the bottom 2 teeth (so cute!!!)

Then all of a sudden she smiled, and there where the front top 2 teethm and 2 white bumps on either side. Sure enough, a few day later, the other side teeth came in. She has never had a fever with teeth, so we haven't really given her much. The odd time she is REALLY crancky, we give her a bit od Tempra. It's an acetaminophen oral drop. I don't know.... the doctor said it's good for fevers due to teething, and discomfort, and also good for some things due to colds. I've only used a few times. I get the bananna flavour, she likes that. It also doesn't make her drowsy. If you want one that does, you better ask around more !!!! LOL!!!

When ds was 9.5 mon. old he had 4 teeth come in with in 2 weeks of each other. Regardless, he seemed to have months of teething issues prior to that. So, when they did come in.....it was so wonderful. We got back into a routine, more sleep for me, I probably felt as relieved as my son did! BTW: He had two on the top and two on the bottom. He's now 11 mon. and no more have come around yet.

I have a dd 22 months old who is still teething. She is a very hard teether and miserable till they come thru. I have found what she loves is for me to put a few ice cubes in a wet cloth and let her suck on that. I tie it so it won't open up. Also, Hylands teething tablets-orajel and Tylenol if it gets too bad at night. I try to leave the Tylenol and Orajel for the night time and find things that are natural for the day. Anything soft they cam chew on are great. Contrary to belief children do not run a temp from actually teething. I have read this on several websites. I always thought they did, but I guess not. I hope he is feelinh better. :)

I meant run a high temperature. 101 and over. :) Then it may be from something else besides teething.

I too have an 8 month old son (today actually!!!). He has two bottom teeth. They came in within two weeks of each other. I am wondering if he is working on any top teeth coming through. Very fussy!! I do all the same things it sounds like the other mommies do...teethers, etc., but I also found that a cold drink.........water or juice in a sippy cup seems to help him feel better. I also rely a lot more than the other mommies it sounds on orajel and tylenol. I use them as last resorts.....but I am not afraid to use them. If he won't quit crying...pain crying and I've tried all else I do not hesitate to use them. You can definitely tell they help!

Good luck! If you ever want to talk....since we have little ones the same age......i'd love to!
