When does a baby FINALLY get a some-what regular sleeping schedule?? My daughter had one down pat at around 2 months old..but my son..he's a whole other story. He is soooo inconsistent! He'll sleep all night for a couple of weeks, then all the sudden he'll be up at 6am for a couple of weeks, then he won't want to go to be til 12am for a couple of weeks. It's ever changing! LOL! Will this ever stop? If he'd just pick one..lol!

Hi!

How old is he? Is he getting good naps during the day? I think that the regular naps are key, but it really depends on the age of the child.

I am trying to get my daughter to stay asleep longer. She'd get up at 5-5:30 everyday if I didn't leave her in her crib to play. she goes right to sleep at 8-8:30. I've tried keeping her up later, but she wakes up the same. Any hints on that?

Love,

Melissa

ps: daughter is 11 months old

Hi, Melissa! My son is 11 months, too! :) I think our kids are going through a phase, don't you? UGH..lol! Maybe it's teething. I know my son is teething. And he doesn't do one tooth at a time, he does like 3 or 4 at a time..lol. But, I give him Motrin which really works to take care of the pain. But, he's still doing that wierd sleeping stuff. He takes 2 naps a day..but lately his naps have been interrupted..maybe that makes it worse.

Hmmm... hadn't thought about the teething. She doesn't appear to be teething... BUT she does wake up crying from her naps sometimes and then falls back to sleep.

How is he eating? Aspen doesn't eat that well... I think that she wakes up hungry but I am trying to get her away from living only on bottles, oatmeal and yogurt.

Who knows with babies? ha ha. It's a big mystery that we have to figure out while constantly sleep deprived. ha ha.

I have to go vaccuum while she is taking her morning nap. No rest for the wicked!

:)

Awww..poor little thing..she probably is teething. Caleb tends to bite me when I try to check for new teeth..LOL..so I usually have to go by his attitude. He's eating fine..but then again, he always eats well..the boy weighs in at around 25lbs! LOL! :D

I'm trying hard to slow down on bottles, too. But, he really relies on them! I'm so afraid he's gonna be hard to break from bottles. My daughter was so much different, it's amazing how much different one child can be from the other! :)

Have fun vaccuming..lol!

Hugs!

My mother-in-law had 7 kids by the age of 30 (i'm 31). She is my expert advise and she should know huh? She told me that when they are young, before you can enforce nap time and bed time, you are at their mercy. Every child is different and its a learn as you go crash course. My 12 week old will go to bed between 10 and 11 and not wake up until about 8:30. If he keeps it up is probly another story but I'm taking advantage of it now and getting all the sleep I can.

P.S.-My mother-in-law had 2 girls and 5 boys. You wouldn't believe some of the stunts those boys pulled. Its amazing she survived and is half way sane. Crazy woman said she always wanted a dozen.

LOL! I think this must be a boy thing! LOL! My mother-in-law told me that from the time my husband was born til he was like 9yrs. old, he was up every night for something. My daughter has no problem sleeping..but my son..ugh! :) My nephew was the same way! But my neice slept fine! lol.

You got the right idea, get sleep when you can..lol.

Hugs,

Dawn

P.S. Your mother-in-law is one brave woman! :) Goodness, two is way more than enough for me..lol. She's a great sorce of advice..it must be awesome to have her to turn to. :)
