She has a son that is 20mths and has hemophilia, and the worse form of it. He only clots 2% (normally we all clot 100%) so she has to be constantly carefull, and is often in the emergency. She lost a brother from the same thing, so I can see her fear. She took a personal day yesturday (first time ever!) to be at her older sons kindergarden class for their valentines celebration. When her son bit his tounge. One of the worse places apparently for hemophiliacs, because they lose more blood from there.
She has a hard time when she is out 1)because she has to constantly insure his safety, 2)people can't help to notice that he has abnormal bruising all over his body. He gets bruises from his car seat, being picked up, his crib banister, leaning on things...whatever! So she is always asked, starred at, whispered about and so on!
Yesturday she spent the whole day at the hospital, on her personal day! I wish I could have done it for her. Sometimes if the injury (falling off one step can be fatal) is sever enough she has to go to the hospital for treatment every 4hrs, 2am if need be!
Her husband is her 1st back up for her dc kids and he works 1min away! He also took a job were he works mostly weekends and long hours so he is there all the time!
I just know when I think my life is tough, I can be assured there can always be tougher.
Louise

It must be so hard and stressful for her and her family to deal with that everyday.
I hope she keeps her strenght up and continues to be as strong as she is already.
God bless them.
